- Keep pressure on gauze as directed to control bleeding.
- Use ice packs as directed to manage swelling.
- Eat soft foods and avoid hot foods the first day.
- Avoid smoking and using straws.
Ongoing Care
- Follow hygiene instructions to keep the area clean.
- Take medications exactly as prescribed.
- Avoid strenuous activity until cleared.
